Congress and Left parties walkouts dissatisfied on dicounts to Kakinada Port

Congress and Left Parties staged a walk out from the assembly after they were dissatisfied at the Government's statement on Kakinada Port Contractors.

Directors of Vasavi Bank arrested

The nine directors of Vasavi Bank were arrested following the Employees Union of the Bank demanding an explanation as to why the bank Directors have used the funds without any proper documentation.

The Supreme court released a land mark ruling making it compulsory for a candidate appearing for elections to state his criminal and financial backgrounds when filing nominations. Lok Satta Convener, Dr. Jayaprakash Narayan who is one among those who filed the case said that this is a chance for parties to thwart candidates who have criminal backgrounds to make them away from the party.
