Congress protests raises forceful recovery of loans from farmers

Congress asked for a discussion on forceful recovery of loans from farmers from Co-operative sector. CLP Leader Dr. Y S Rajasekhar Reddy said that farmers are getting vexed and are forced to commit suicides. He asked for a statement from the Government in this regard for which Revenue Minister Sri Yenamala Ramakrishnudu said that some time should be made available to reply and that they cannot be given all of a sudden.

SSC Exam arrangements almost complete

Minister for Primary Education Mr. Mandava Venkateswara Rao said that all arrangements for the smooth conduction of SSC Examinations were completed. He said that the question papers will be dispatched to the schools only 15 minutes before the commencement of examination. No cell phones will be allowed near the examination centers.

Lok Ayukt Justice personally checks Gandhi Hospital

Lok Ayukt made a surprise himself to Gandhi Hospital today and checked the conditions at the hospital following news of misappropriations at the Hospital. He was reported of not providing medicine by low level staff who needs to be constantly bribed to get things done. The Justice interacted with patients and checked the facilities at the Hospital and said that he will be identifying the problems and try to provide a permanent solution. The Justice said that no action needs to be taken from his primary investigation.

CM holds meeting on Godavari Pushkarams

Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu has held a high-level meeting which his Ministers and Officers at his chamber at the Assembly in regard to status of arrangements for Godavari Pushkarams. He asked the officers to see that the arrangements were completed by June 15. high level meeting with ministers. He said that a proposal was sent to the Central Government for granting funds to the Pushkarams in similar lines to the Kumbh Mela.

Vasavi Bank Employees Union blames Directors for the bank loss

The Employees Union of Vasavi Bank said that the Directors have intentionally resigned after taking loan to a tune of Crores of rupees without providing sufficient documents. The Union said that as much as 40% of the loan amounts were used by its Directors and that over 90% of the securities being put by the Directors were undervalue. They said that reporting to the State Government and RBI despite being informed yielded no use. They questioned why the police did not arrest the directors for providing incorrect information to bank. All India Banking Employees Union (AIBEA) said that the appointment fo administrators and three-member committees were not enough.They also hinted of two more banks that were following in a similar line.

4 people including 3 women were injured when a Cheetah attacked them at Parakala forest outskirts in Warangal.
An old man died committing suicide yesterday after being put in the Panchayat office isolated for over a week on charges of Banamati - a superstition common in the area. The incident happened in Moinabad area of Ranga Reddy district. Police arrested the Sarpanch on the mandal on charges of this act.
