State BJP to ask centre for reconsider Fertilizers and Urea pricing

The State Unit of the Bharateeya Janatha Party (BJP) said that it is unhappy at the hike of Fertilizers and Urea price. The Unit President Chilakam Ramachandrareddy said that the party will write to the Center and the Finance Ministry in regard to consider the farmer sector in the region in fixing the fertilizer and urea pricing. Union Minister of Home for Railways Bandaru Dattatreya who was at the press meet said that Congress was the reason for the necessity for the hike since it signed up a deal with World Trade Organization (WTO). He said that food and fertilizer subsidies were not changed.

State Congress happy at HP elections win

The State Congress expressed its happiness at Congress winning at the recently held State Elections in Himachal Pradesh. Pradesh Congress Party (PCC) President M Satyanarayana Rao said that Congress was regaining power in Northern India and that this is a good sign for the entire country. The Congress in the state is putting all its efforts to ensure victory in the next state elections.

CM attends Janmabhoomi program

Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu took part in Janmabhoomi program in Nallamalla of Anatapur district. The program this time was targed at the drough hit areas of the state. Addressed a public meeting, he said that he is attending to the region not for the sake of politics but to solve problems of the people.

Nagarjuna Sagar Project water levels at all-time low

Mr. Satyanarayana Reddy, Engineer at Nagarjuna Sagar Project said that water levels at the Project were extremely low and that the water is sufficient for future drinking needs and cannot be released for irrigation and farming.

Maha Sivaratri today

Devotees of Lord Shiva observe today as Maha Sivaratri. Devotees are seen going to temples and having the darshan of the Lord. They are observing fasting and stay awake tonight chanting the Omkara mantram. Special poojas are performed at Sri Sailam, Srikalahasti and Vemulawada. Sivadeeksha devotees are also seen in large numbers. Minister B Gopalakrishna Reddy took part in Poojas. Ramalingarjuna Temple in Kersargutta of Hyderabad was seen busy with thousands of devotees staying in queues for darshans of the Lord. Special Mahakumbhabisekham was organized by Dr. T Subbarami Reddy at Rama Krishna Beach in Visakhapatnam.

Cricket fans rallies for India's win over Pakistan

This news piece would sound you crazy if you have never seen the Indian Cricket fever but for Indians, it is something very common. A motor cycle rally was taken up by some Indian Cricket fans wishing the Indian team to win its Cricket match against Pakistan. Crickets fans flocked to the temples in many parts of Andhra Pradesh to offer prayers to the loved Gods for the Indian victory. Special namaaz too were offered by Muslim Cricket lovers asking for the Indian victory.
