TDP drawing plans to pick right candidates

Telugu Desam Party Leader Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu interacted top leaders of TDP State Party in regard to selection of members for the party and the Polit bureau. Many changes are expected to be taking place in the meet with general elections due later this year. TDP Spokesman Umma Reddy Venkateswarulu said that district level discussions will be taken into account.

Lokayukta collection evidence on allegations against 4 state ministers

Justice Ramanujan said that Lokayukt was investigating into allegations on 4 State Ministers, a Zilla Parishad Chairman and some MLA's. He said that after collection of sufficient evidence, a notice will be issued followed by a primary investigation. He said that the commission has full authority to verify any document as required. The Justice said that sufficient financial control needs to provided so that it can function more efficiently.

Girijan Thandas needs to be recognized as Panchayats - says Governor

Governor Sri Surjit Singh Barnala said that there is a need of conversion of Girijan Thandas to Grama Panchayats. He took part in Girijan Meet organized by AP Educated Tribals Association in Warangal.

KFW of Germany to support VTPS Plant

KFW of Germany has agreed formally in regard to financial support to AP GENCO for the 4th phase construction works Vijayawada Thermal Power Station. A team from KFW met with officials and confirmed their support.

Govt. supporting Badminton well - says Gopichand

Badminton Star Mr. P Gopichand said in Visakhapatnam today that the Government is extending good support to the sport and that apart from maintaining Badminton Centers at Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam, new centers will be setup at Nandyala and Tirupati. He said that both SAP and AP Badminton Association are working for the development of the sport in the region.

Health Minister Mr. Kodela Sivaprasada Rao made it clear that action will be taken as per the reports by the Commission enquiring into the recent Kidney racket unearthed in Hyderabad and that action will be taken as per the law. He said that there is no exception on Corporate Hospital if they had any role played. The committee conducting the enquiry will be releasing its findings shortly.
MLA of Nuzividu began with a hunger strike against revenue authorities who did not respond properly in issuing of pass books to farmers. The strike lasted for a short duration and ended with MRO assuring of prompt work.
