A Team comprising from the Central Water Commission (CWC) began hearing objects at Hyderabad in regard to Paragodu dam project across the river Chitravathi. Issues between Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka rose in regard to sharing of water between the two states.

A minor dispute rose to clashes and then to killing. Tension rose in Chitoor district when a legislator of Congress party Mr. C.K. Jayachandra Reddy is believed to have torched a youth alive who died. The MLA was arrested by the police who resisted a group from attacking the police station. The incident was believed to have been done on Saturday night when Mr. Sandeep has allegedly for hitting his nephew with a soft drink bottle.
