CM inaugurates LV Prasad group's IMAX Theater
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated LV Prasad - The Theater setup at Necklace Road in Hyderabad today. Built at a cost of Rs. 62 crores, the theater was build with state of facilities. The 3D IMAX theater was one of its kind in the country promoted by the Prasad Media Corp. The theater with be open for public with the screening of The Everest from 25 July. The Movie Ticket costs Rs. 125/- but it will be worth it to have a digital movie experience.

The movies at the IMAX Theater will be larger - with 15-perforation and 70 mm format instead of the usual 5-perforations and 70 mm format. This leads to a bigger and clear picture. The slide screen was 72 x 92 foot. The theater is equipped with a 12,000 watts sound arrangement that can push in 44 custom-designed speakers to give the complete digital experience. The 'rolling loop' techniques gives a smoother run of the movie on the screen. The theater is equipped with a fast food restaurant and a gift shop amongst other facilities.

Speaking at the inaugural function, Mr. Naidu said that this is 'an unforgettable experience' and that he has been dreaming to bring such facilities to the state of Andhra Pradesh. He said that Tourism is given prime importance after Information Technology and that the sector creates indirect employment generation and livelihood. He said that India stands second IMAX usage and that the same will fare well in future. He felt happy that the Hyderabad IMAX Theater is better than that of the Chicago Theater and that this and added attraction to the tourism state of Andhra Pradesh.

Union Minister for Railways Bandaru Dattatreya, Home Minister Devendar Goud, MCH Mayor Theegala Krishana Reddy and others were present at the inauguration program. Minister Vijayarama Rao shared his experience of watching Everest movie at Hyderabad IMAX which is superior than that of Chicago where he viewed a IMAX movie for the first time.

Tourism Minister Talasani Yadav said that the state is keen in adding more tourism attractions such as Car Racing and Mini India in the state.
