Godavari Pushkaram's are the festivals held for 12 days at the banks of River Godavari. As a part of this, devotees from all over the world visit the basin of River Godavari and have a holy dip in it and perform prayers at temples nearby. Pushkaram's for the year 2003 will be held between 30 July 2003 to 10 August 2003.

This festival is held once in 12 years time. The necessary arrangements for the same were already in place. The people perform �Tarpana� to their ancestors. The holy dip is considered to be very sacred and equivalent to getting the blessings of the Gods.

Television Telecast
Doordarshan Kendra, Hyderabad made all arrangements to bring the coverage of the Pushkaram's on the Television through its Saptagiri channel.

Uninterrupted power supply
Eastern Power Distribution Company of AP Limited was asked to provide uninterrupted power supply to the East and West Godavari's during the Pushkaram festivals.
