CM, Governor officially inaugurates Godavari Pushkars
Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu in Rajahmundry and Governor Surjit Singh Barnala at Badrachalam have officially inaugurated the Godavari Pushkaram festivals.

TRS President asks CM for an apology to people for not providing facilities
TRS President Chandrasekhara Rao who spoke after taking a holy dip in the River Godavari said that the facilities in the area were not upto the mark. He said that the TDP-Government has shown partiality even in the case of festivals and that the Chief Minister has to ask for an apology for the people.

Santha Sinha gets Ramon Magasasay Award
Social Worker Mrs. Santha Sinha has been selected for Raman Magasasay Award for the year for her contributions in social welfare. Mrs. Sinha has been working to send child labourers to go to school. Mrs. Sinha was awarded the prestegious award for Community Leadership for her contributions in ending the scourage of child labor.

Sukumar is new Director-General and Inspector General
SR Sukumar was appointed as the 22nd Director General of Police. He will take charge tomorrow. He is currently DGP of State Road Safety Authority.

First batch of Maritime Engineers passes out
28 Marine Engineers passes out of the Naval Maritime Academy, Visakhapatnam after completion of their course. Certificates were awarded to them at the Convocation held in Visakhapatnam. Vice Admiral Raman Puri who was the chief guest highlighted the need of more Marine Engineers for the country.

Minister for Major Irrigation said that the water from River Krishna will not be available and suggested the farmers in the Krishna delta to go for dry crops than water intensive crops. Secretary of Irrigation Department CVSK Sarma said that a mere 14.7 Lakh acres of crop was given water instead of the 1.07 crore acres that fall under Major, Medium and Minor irrigation.

Punjab Police is champion at Mihira Federation Cup meet
The Punjab Police emerged as the Overall Champion and the Army as the Men Team champion while Bobby Aloysis (Kerala) and Kuldeep Kumar (Uttar Pradesh) were judged as the best athletes at the Mihira Federation Cup Athletic Meet at the GMC Balayogi Stadium in Hyderabad. The Punjab Police were judged as the Women's team champion.

4-year old boy gets heart operation
Khiteswar Shaoo - a 4-year old boy was successfully operated for heart alignment at the Apollo Hospital. The boy began to turn blue due to the disease and is weighing only 10 kgs.
