Bonalu Festival held in Hyderabad The annual Lashkar Bonalu festival was held today in Hyderabad. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Union Minister for Railways Bandaru Dattatreya and other officials visited the temple and took blessings of the lord. Devotees in large numbers formed longs queues early in the morning. TDPP meets to discuss on its course of action in Parliament The Telugu Desam Parliamentary Party members met today to discuss on its strategy for the Parliament sessions that are going to begin from tomorrow under the presidentship of TDP Leader Chandrababu Naidu. TDPP Leader Yerran Naidu said that an adjournment motion will be called to discuss about the water projects and ask for immediate stoppage of all CWC approved constructions. He said that the party will support women bill and ask for stopping increase in kerosene and LPG gas prices. He said that TDP will not support or discuss any points related to Ayodhya issue as it was not a point in the common agenda. 2nd convocation of Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) held The 2nd convocation of Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Hyderabad was held. Padmabhusan VK Atre and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu were present as Chief Guests. Chief Minister presented certificates to B.Tech and M.Tech students. He was happy that IIIT played its role in dealing with e-Governance projects and said that he will make sure that the institute will turn out to be one of the prestigious instruction in the country. Speaking on the uncertainty of IT Market, the world over, he said that IT era has started just now. He quoted "few years ago, IT is a boom, the real revolution started just now..". He said that the institute will be enforcing standards on lines of IIT's. Out of the 131 who passed out from the Institute, 118 have got jobs in top notch companies. Sri Apte suggested not to completely depend on computers and that, they being machine, have always some limitations. There is always risk through theft, manipulation and being complex. TRS leader begins Paada Yatra Telangana Rastra Samiti President K Chandrasekhara Rao began Paada Yatra today from Alampur to Mahabubnagar on the issue of Rajolibandao project. He performed puja and hoisted TRS flag at the party office earlier. Pink flags were seen every where. People in large numbers joined him in the walk. 8 naxals surrendered before the police in Guntur. Workshop on Meditation for Pressmen held Information Minister S Chandramohan Reddy inaugurated a workshop entitled "Stress Management Program for Media Personnel" at Press Club Somajiguda in Hyderabad. The program is organized by Press Club and Bramhakumari's. The Minister stressed the need of meditation to cool up their minds and beat stress. He said that a wrong phrase could cause lot of differences and incorrect message to the people. |
