Special team visits MGM Hospital in Warangal The special team from Delhi that came to the study the problem of unknown viral fever that is causing deaths of children visited MGM Hospital in Warangal. The team felt satisfied at the arrangements made at the hospital though it could not come to any conclusion as to which type of Encephalitis is causing the deaths. Meanwhile, the number of children who were suffering from the mysterious disease at the Special Encephalitis Ward at the hospital increased. More deaths reported due to mysterious viral fever The Government has release a bulletin stating that the number of cases as of July 17, 2003 reached the 119 figure. Health Minister Kodela Sivaprasada Rao said that the deaths could not be attributed to Encephalitis. The Minister says, malnutitition and seasonal diseases were the prime reason. Minister for Road and Buildings Tummala Nageswar Rao visited the residential areas of Warangal and checked the cleanliness drive. Congress organizes meet on Panchayat Raj and Municipal system The Congress Party organized the Panchayat Raj and Municipal Corporators meet at Exhibition Grounds in Hyderabad today. The meet felt that Nodal system introduced by the TDP-led Government was against the country's benefit. CLP Leader Dr. YS Rajasekhar and CWP Member Manishakar Ayyar spoke on the occasion. MSR appears before High Court for his comments on Rama Subba Reddy case APCC President M Satyanaraya Rao appeared before the High Court Divisional Bench in regard to a summons issued on him in regard to a commend he made on the case of Minister for Housing P Rama Subba Reddy stating that the Minister was involved a murder incident. MSR was accompanied by a team of lawyers and many party supporters to the court. MSR said that the case was transferred under the support of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu from Mahabubnagar to Hyderabad for the convenience of the Minister. He formal tendered an apology at the court for his comment against the court. The court was surprised to note that a Minister whose name was involved in a case was still continuing as a Minister. Learner Interface Facility at SDE, Andhra University The School of Distance Education of Andhra University announced that it will be introducing Learner Interface Facility which will store all the information and records in a computer. The facility which is one of its kind in the state costs Rs. 12 Lakh and will be setup with the help of funds from the Distance Education Council. |
