Government to sponsor education program on sanitation
Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu said that the Government will conduct special educational programs on the need for better sanitary conditions for 5-day. He asked officials of all Governmental Departments, DWACRA societies and the general public to take part in the program. It may be recalled that viral fevers were on rampant in many parts of the state. CM along with Ministers Kodela sivaprasada Rao, Nagam Janardhan Reddy and other ministers and officials were present spoke from the Secretariat in a Phone-in program. He said that Rs. 5000 will be released immediately to all Panchayats in the state.

Grey Hounds DSP died in a road accident
DSP of Grey Hounds Mr. Bharat Kishan met with a fatal road accident when his jeep was hit by a private bus at Allagadda in Kurnool. Mr. Kishan and one more died. District collector, local MLA's and other city officials paid homage and were surprised at the sudden demise of Kishan.

MLA Surekha stages dharna
Tension between MLA K Surekha and SI Madhu in Warangal reached peak when Mrs. Surekha sat for a dharna outside the police station for not taking action on TDP members. It may be recalled that cases were registered 11 congress members in regard to tension during Janmabhoomi program.

Surprise checks on vehicles moving on National Highway
Commissioner of Transport Department N Giridhar said that Government is keen on conducting checks on condition of vehicles that move on National Highways since majority of the accidents that claim over 10,000 lives every year happen on Highways. He made surprise check on various vehicles particularly overloaded lorries that come from Cement factories will be made. Automatic Braking System for all vehicles that move on highways would become compulsory. He said that a brake has to be put on overloading He said that the Government will conduct training programs Ashok Leyland and TATA.

2 more dies in Karimnagar
2 children died in Karimnagar following mysterious viral fever. Lack of proper sanitary conditions were believed to be the reason for this. Meanwhile, the number of reported cases reached 1700.

Chairman of APCOB Mr. Janardhana Rao said that awareness campaigns will be launched to create awareness about loan waiver to farmers in rural areas of the state.

A section of delegates from Telangana Congress Forum met Governor Mr. Surjit Singh Barnala and submitted a request for changing Pulichintala Project to a different place. Meanwhile, an MLA of the TRS began hunger strike demeaning an immediate action from the Government side in regard to this.

CLP Leader Dr. Y S Rajasekhar Reddy met a group of women delegates who are a part of DWACRA from Rangareddy. Later speaking with the press, he said that DWACRA groups were not satisfied with the Government's policy and that works not related to them were given and that necessary funds were not often allocated.

Vacuum Brake System to be replaced with Air Brake System
Union Minister Mr. Bandaru Dattatreya visited the Railway Workshop located at Lallaguda in Secunderabad. He monitored various works being undertaken at the workshop and said that many trains needs modernization from the currently running old Vacuum Brake system to the new Air Brake system. He said that this replacement will be done in a phased manner.
