19th Phase of Janmabhoomi program begins
The 19th Phase of Janmabhoomi program began today. The Government has earlier made all arrangements for the program so that it turns out a success. This Janmabhoomi program was significant for it was put almost at the time of elections.

Christened Rythu Mahila Janmabhoomi, the program was inaugurated by Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu at Jaggaram Village, Boorgumadu Constituency in Khammam district. He inaugurated a new telephone based service where in a villager can report of a problem or ask for suggestions to Government authorities by calling to telephone number 111.

Minister K Vijayarama Rao who took part in the Janmabhoomi Program at Film Nagar asked people irrespective of political parties to take part in the program. Women in large numbers - particularly from local slum areas attended the Grama Sabha and brought the problems to the notice of the Minister.

Locale in Visakhapatnam brought the inability of the Government to provide minimum facilities to the people in the areas of Mindi and Natayyapalem of Visakhapatnam. People demanded for drinking water facilities. Minister Ch Ayyannapatrudu took part in the program in Bheemili.

Chitoor Congress members stopped the Janmabhoomi program proceedings asking the authorities for completion of works promised in the previous Janmabhoomi program before commencement of the edition of the program.

Osmania University students demonstrates
Students of the Osmania University demonstrated outside the Administrative Office Building of the University demanding the University to cancel the affiliation of colleges that does not have any computers but were offering MCA programs. They said that colleges does not have proper road facility to go to the college nor any infrastructure. Qualified staff were not maintained at many colleges – said the students.

Two naxals killed in encounter in Guntur
2 naxals belonging to the People’s War Group died in an encounter early in the morning. Pamphlets asking people not to participate in the Janmabhoomi program were recovered from them. The incicent occurred in Rosuru area of Guntur. One of those who was killed - Venkatrao was involved in blasting a bank.

Students of the PDSU Twin Cities Committee raised slogans at the Office of Technical Education in Hyderabad for its decision to cancel ECET examination. ECET is the examination that allows a student who completes Polytechnic course to join in an B.E or B.Tech Engineering course.

Agriculture Minister Mr. Vadde Sobhanadreswara Rao took part in a program held in Vijayawada. He said that Farmer Clubs are essential to create moral support to farmers in rural areas.

2 people were held for video piracy of new movies in Rajahmundry . The Computer equipment used for making fake CD’s was recovered from them.
