Partnership Summit 2003 begins
The Confederation of Indian Industry's ninth Partnership Summit 2003 has been inaugurated by Deputy Prime Minister Mr. L.K. Advani in Hyderabad. Speaking on the occasion he said that the NDA Government was determined to end the Terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir and asked the businessmen in Western Countries to influence their Governments to exert pressure on state sponsoring terror. Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu, CII President Mr. Ashok Soota and others took part in the Summit.

Pulse Polio Programme begins
The Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu participated in the Pulse Polio Programme held at Hyderabad. He along with Ministers Srinivas Yadav, Bandaru Dattatreya gave polio drops to children. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Naidu requested the people to utilise the opportunity given by the Government to save their children from polio. He also said that the pulse polio programme of last year is successful as the Government didn't find even a single polio case in the state. The Government appointed 2,50,000 for this 2 phase programme.

Three cops and three naxals were killed when the later exploded mines near Dachepalli of Guntur district. The Police were returning from a "Gram Sabha" at Kothur village.

Ministers for Heavy Industries Mr. K Vidyadhar Rao said a good response is being received from the Industries World-wide. He said that the signing of MoU agreements will be held on 7th of this month at Darbar Hall in Taj Residency. He added that that Government is preparing a plan to revive the small scale industries in the state.
