Robbery attempted in Birla Mandir
A Robbery has been attempted in the famous Birla Temple in Hyderabad. The Robbery is foiled when the priests closed the doors on seeing two robbers. The District Police Commissioner M.V. Krishna Rao said that this posed a challenge to the city police.

Nara Ramamurthy Naidu meets TRS President
Nara Ramamurthy Naidu, the brother of the Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu met TRS President K. Chandrasekhar Rao and discussed on the issue of the creation of a separate Telangana State.

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi has demanded congress to clarify its stand on the creation of a separate Telangana state. TRS President K. Chandrasekhar Rao said that Congress cannot dodge the people of Telangana anymore.

NCIC condemns attack on American Missionary
The National Congress of Indian Christians (NCIC) youth wing has condemned attack on American missionary on January 14 in Kerala. According to a press release by the youth wing president C. Daniel, they alleged that repeated attacks on minorities had started after BJP came to power at the Centre.

Cabinet declares 111 more mandals as drought-hit
The State Cabinet declared 111 more mandals as drought-hit. The Information and Public Relations Minister Mr. S. Chandramohan Reddy gave an update of the situation to the press. The total number of drought-hit mandals reached to 1,036 with this addition.

Jaya Prakash selected for MDRT-2003
G. Jaya Prakash, an agent of Visakhapatnam branch of Life Insurance Corporation of India has been selected to participate in the Million Dollar Round Table 2003 which will be held in the US in June. According to the LIC Zonal Manager V.V.S. Rama Sarma, Mr. Prakash is selected on the basis of commissions earned in the month of last September.
