Hyderabad

Hyderabad was a city for many wonders and specialties - for its Historic Tombs and Monuments, for its Hi-tech culture, for its Birayni and other spicy foods and more. But this year saw Hyderabad from a different prospective. Hyderabad turned to be the center for sports - staring the 32nd National Games and now for the WTA Indian Open where Worlds Top Women Tennis are playing at their best.

The action began on February 1, 2003 with the opening matches drawing being witnessed huge competition among the stars. Chief Minister Sri N Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated the matches at the venue - Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh Tennis Complex with a packed tennis fans who came not only from the districts of Andhra Pradesh but also fans from India and abroad. The events were organized by Globosport.
