Assembly discusses on Terrorism
A discussion on 'Terrorist activities in the State' is held in the Assembly today. The Opposition asked that DSJCD terrorist activities and ISI are to be linked. The Bharatiya Janata Party demanded that POTA should be applied on these activities.

Speaker Ms. Prathibha Bharati gave a ruling that MIM can participate in the discussion which BJP opposed.

Mr. Owasi of MIM Party suggested that Government should be kept alert on the terrorist activities in the State. The MIM party requested the Government to arrange judicial enquiry on these Religious riots.

Home minister Mr. Devendar Goud said that police arrested those who were involved in the religious riots and a magistrate enquiry is already in process.The Whole discussion went on for 4 hours.

The Congress party questioned how Janmabhoomi is scheduled on the day when discussion on drought in the assembly. He said that since Ministers have to participate in Janmabhoomi, Congress requested that the Janmabhomi should be scheduled on a different date.

The Teachers association of Sri Padmavathi Womens College demanded that the Registrar should be elected from the staff of the college and should not be any outsider. They went on with Relay Hunger Strike today. in tirupati

Bharatiya Janata Party requested that Government should keep a vigil on those who supports Pakistan on the day of India-Pakistan Cricket match in the 2003 World Cup. Mr. Owasi said that it is not fair to show little concern on minoritie groups and said that no Indian supports the Pakistan Cricket team.

CPM requested a discussion on the issue of 'Police beating on CPM Workers'. They protested for about 30 minutes when the speaker rejected their plea.

The Bramhotsavams began in Sri Kalahasti today. 'Bhakata Kannappa Dwajahoranam' is held on the inaugural day on the Kannappa hill. Southern Classical Maestro Bala Murali Krishna performed on the occasion.

TCLF demanded that the Irrigation Water project that is proposed on Krishna should be completed soon.

The widows of 2 TDP workers met Speaker and Chief Minister today and submitted plea letters. They alleged that Congress is promoting Political clashes in Cuddapah and requested them to take appropriate action.
