Visakhapatnam

Union Minister for Rural Development Dr U Krishnam Raju on his visit to Anakapalle on Friday stated that the Government has already allotted 60 percent of funds for the development of rural areas of the country. He spoke with presspersons from the R & B Guest house.

Development activities has already done in rural areas upliftment and 1.65 lakh rural areas are going to be with fair roads for achieving nearly 60 thousand crores are expected. Already Rs. 11,000 crore rupees have spent for rural road developments. By the end of Mach 2004 all villages with a population of ten thousand will be completed. The rest will be completed by the end of 2007. He stated that more than 32,000 villages were link roads were completed.

Visakha District President VS Prasad, District Mahila Morcha President Adari Manju, BJP National executive committee member PV Chalapathirao, State Executive Committee Member Ponaganti Apparao participated in the meeting.
