Konathala announces resignation to his PCC Secretary post
Anakapalle, Visakhapatnam
PCC Secretary Konathala Ramakrishna said that he is resigning from his post. He said that some politicians are 'black mailing' him and carrying politics which is unfair. Some Congress supporters have demonstrated at his house asking him to withdraw his resignation.
Congress begins study on points for its manifesto
Hyderabad
APCC President D Srinivas inaugurated a study camp that is set up to study on various issues related to the state for possible inclusion in the party manifesto. The topic of the day is "AP Development - Different Faces". Over 7 teams were working on various issues who formed as Study Groups. These study groups will be submitting papers to the manifesto committee which will finalize the party manifesto that is expected to be released on January 3, 2004.
TRS says Congress is trying to fool with its Bus Yatras
Telangana Rastra Samithi Party President K Chandrasekhara Rao said that Congress is again trying to fool people with the Yadagiri Gutta Bus Yatra. He asked the people to ask question on the Congress stand on the Telangana statehood. He spoke to a large gathering of people at the Warangal Orugollu.
People are against Naxalism - says TDP

The Telugu Desam Party says people's verdict is against naxals. It said that people were completely against the Naxalism and that this is clearly visible in the Chhattisgarh elections. TDP Spokesman Ummareddy Venkateswara Rao spoke on this in Hyderabad today.
CM announces more gifts to DWACRA groups - Reviews Drip irrigation project

Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu announced new gifts to Women. Over Rs. 25 Crores of funds was announced for various DWACRA groups apart for waiver of some taxes on their products. He instructed the authorities to release the funds tomorrow.

Speaking with Collectors from various district over video-conferencing, he asked them to conduct a review on the Micro Irrigation project every 15 days. He asked Collectors to call the Bankers so that the problems with the release of funds can be sorted out. He instructed collectors to keep an eye on the companies that were engaged for the project and warned that their contracts will be cancelled if they do no perform well. Lack of clear cut information with the Collectors was observed.

Discussing on the provision of pattas to lands to the poor, he asked the Collectors to see that at least 10 lakhs are benefited by January 1 or at most by January 15. He asked them to identify and purchase lands accordingly.
Tension prevails in Hyderabad

Tension prevailed in Hyderabad - particularly in the old city even after a day passed since one was killed in religious clashes yesterday. Police tried to control the situation when things began to go out of control near Charminar. Hyderabad Police Commissioner said that additional security forces were deployed in the twin cities keeping in view of tomorrow's being Black day. Some problematic people were arrested as a precautionary measure.
People are not interested in Sonia Govt - says Bandaru

Union Minister and Senior BJP Party leader Bandaru Dattatreya said that people are rejecting Congress and Sonia led government and that this is clearly visible from the people's verdict in three states. BJP State Unit President Indrasena Reddy said that BJP will continue to go with TDP in the upcoming elections. He said that only those points that are commonly agreed will be put.
