Bid to loot State Bank of India

In the recent growing crime rate in the heart of the city, an attempt to loot State Bank of India, Jeedimetla industrial branch mid night on Monday. One dacoit gained entry through the window when he was resisted by the sweeper who was residing there was killed with iron rods.

Junior Doctors strike continues

The agitating junior doctors strike reached 19th day as there are no positive signal from the Government side. The striking doctors staged dharns, Rasta rakos etc., In a bid to stop the duty doctors to attend their duties in various hospitals in the state, in Visakhapatnam nearly 250 doctors, in Osmania Hospital campus nearly 300 and agitating doctors conducting Rasta rako at Seceunderabad Rly.station nearly 200 doctors were arrested and later released on personal bail. Meanwhile, PCC General Secretary Mr.Sudhakara Reddy announced they will directly participate in the agitation. Students in various colleges in the state are boycotting their classes in support of the agitation.

Cheating In Lakhs-Kola Krishna Mohan

Mr Kola Krishna Mohan a well noted person who cheated in 1999 to majority of the public on the plea that he won euro lottery and the amounts will be paid back with higher interest. After ascertaing the facts that he didn't got any lottery and those who lend huge amounts reported to police and was arrested. The matter is still in the court of law. Now, again he cheated depositors in lacks of rupees. He started one Macdonald firm in Gurudwara junction which mainly caters vegetarian and non vegetarian foods. For this purpose he collected deposits in lacks of rupees and his name at present is Kola Mohan Kumar alias Krishna Mohan. After the complaints from the depositors, the police arrested him and his son Krishna Kumar.

Left parties says Govt. has not reacted properly for fighting drought

The left parties and Congress has alleged that the State government has been giving step motherly treatment to the severely drought hit Anantapur district compared to other areas. In an all party meeting organized by the CPI and Rythu Sangham affiliated to it stated the drought is very severed in the district and majority of the public are forced to migrate to other places for lively hood.

Kakinada Municipal Council Meeting ends with shouting against each other

An echo of last Wednesday's incidents in which a councilor allegedly manhandled the Municipal Health Officer in Chairperson's chamber, the Municipal Council Meeting held on Monday witnesses walk out by the officials from the council hall. The Municipal Commissioner Mr.Prathap Reddy who was silent for all these days confirmed the action. The Chairperson adjourned the meeting for 15 minutes announcing that he would wait for the Commissioner and the other officials to come back but contrary to expectations they did not turn up.

Panchaloha Idols recovered

Seven Panchaloha idols a silver crown and an arrow of idols were stolen from the ancient Ramalayam in Neelapalli village in the Korangi Police station limits. On the basis of the complaint by the trustee, the police have registered a case and investigation is going on.
