All-Party meeting on Krishna river water problem on Sep 2
Minister for Heavy Water Projects Kadiyam Srihari said that the Chief Minister will convene an all-party meeting on River Krishna water issue on September 2. He said that some parties are giving different comments keeping farmers and actual facts aside. He said that the situation remained with all political parties. He said that the parties are making demonstrations without understanding the real problem. He clarified that the state Government will not ask the Karnataka Government for releasing more water since it is of no use.

APCC demands probe by High Court judge
The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) demanded a probe by a sitting High Court judge in the recent row of deaths due to liquor and identify the real culprits.

Over 50 coolies who came to Hyderabad from Orissa and were working as slaves are sent back to their home towns with the help of state police and social organizations.

Telugu Language Day was observed. People in large numbers has organized demonstrated asking for the wide spread use of Telugu language. A demonstration in Kurnool organized by Telugu Basha Vikasa Udhyamam asked for wide use of language in Government offices.
