Naidu begins TDP Party training program at Hyderabad
TDP Leader N Chandrababu Naidu said that the state will turn to Swarnandhra if the Government makes every program as successful as Godavari Pushkarams. He inaugurated a 3-day training program for party supporters at the NTR Bhawan in Hyderabad. He said that the party is committed to get Krishna River water and is ready for fight with neighbor Karnataka. Once the training program is completed, the party supporters needs to write a test and then needs to train other villege-level supporters. Speaking on power reforms, he said that transmission losses have to be controlled. He said that the party should become a role model for opposition parties so that they can change and be more committed to the people. He doubted about the Congress attitude and said it that party will never change. He said that TDP's next win in the election will gain history.

New PCC President to take charge tomorrow
The new PCC President D Srinivas said that he will begin the excise of taking Congress Party on a winning track. He said that the problem of Telangana is not a new problem but was there for the last 3 years and hoped that the high command will take a decision to this affect at the earlier. He will be taking oath as the new President tomorrow in Hyderabad.

Outgoing PCC President Mr. M Satyanarayana Rao said that he is always committed to the party and that he need not be in power to serve the party. He has taken part in the ceremony of Pabbathi Purushothama Reddy

Former Minister asks on Uranium project
Former Minister M Sasidhar Reddy said that the Uranium Corporation of India has to completely explain about the project and its affect on the people. He said that people are unaware of the side effects. He reminded the Government to be cautious and do not burn hands as in Jharkhand where a similar project was showing side effects on people. He also asked the Metro Water Works Board to clarify that once River Krishna water comes to Hyderabad, it is free from any nuclear pollultion.

Minister launches new scheme to attract customers to take bills
Minister Vijayarama Rao launched a new scheme of attracting consumers to insist on taking bills when they buy products. The new scheme, currently available only for residents of Hyderabad requires that the customers drop their bills in a box setup at e-Seva centers. A draw will be taking from bills starting this 16 and prizes will be distributed. The scheme will be for 3 months and a Maruti Car is also in the list of prizes in the final draw.

SBI to accept power bills
State Bank of India has signed up an agreement with Central Power Distribution for installing a facility where by customers can pay their electricity bills from the bank branches. This facility will be made available at Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam initially. Internet payment system will be introduced.

Raksha Bandhan observed
Raksha Bandhan was observed today. Children from the Nalgonda Blind School tied Rakhis to Governor Surjit Singh Barnala at Raj Bhawan. They requested provide facilities to the school. Bramhakumari Eswariya supporters tagged Rakhi to Chief Minister and other political party leaders.

CPM asks for ban on Pepsi and Coke
Supporters of CPM rallied in Kurnool demanding the ban of Pepsi and Coke in the country. They said that if the Parliament has banned the products why were the elected representatives allowing it in the country.

VRS for APSRTC Employees not compulsary
Chairman of APSRTC Sobha Nagireddy said in Hyderabad that the Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS) is not a compulsion to its employees and said that those who opted for this can take the scheme. She said that many senior employees, particular whose health is not permitting to work any more were asking for the scheme. Speaking on Godavari Pushkarams, she said that APSRTC was able to mobilize Rs. 11.5 Crores additional revenue.
