PCC Member Murali and MLA Mrs. Konda Surekha said that they were not informed by the police that their names was in the FIR filed by Gatla Mahipal Reddy who is a close aide of them in which their names were mentioned. They said that Mahipal is not a contractor and that he could not even earn enough to pay his house rent and that they are supporting him. Tenneti Krishna Prasad, Warangal Range IG said that Murali himself confessed that he was related to People's War Group and mentioned names of 18 more members.

Osmania University is chosen to organize EdCET 2003 Examination. The Convener of the Examinations Prof. VBB Sharma said that the exam will be held on July 6, 2003. The Notification is expected to be released on April 7th and sale of applications begins on April 15. The last date for submitting the forms is May 16. The hall tickets information will be put online at the website of the University so that students who do not get hall ticket can come to know of their examination center. Over 3 lakh candidates from various streams are expected to take write this years exams.
