Chief Minister Sri N Chandrababu Naidu visited Udayagiri constituency of Nellore district. He said that the Government is committed to cater to the needs of the people and that a sub-committee will discuss on the increase of storage capacity of Somasila Reservoir Project. He interacted with villagers on the Velugu program.
Agriculture Minister Sri Vadde Sobhanadreswara Rao announced the action plan of the Department for the year 2003-2004. The Dept. plans to get a yield of 116 lakh tones of rice, 8.94 Lakh tones of pulses, 16 lakh tones of groundnut and 1.67 lakh tones of sunflower. He said that there would a requirement of over 22.4 lakh tones of fertilizers.
Mr. B Jagadish Yadav is appointed as the new President of the Samajwadi Party's AP State Committee. Mr. B Srinivasa Rao will be the Vice President.
A support of TDP Mr. Sudhaker aged 53 was shot dead by naxals of People's War Group when he was talking with his friends in the evening. The incident happened at Chepur in Gurrampode mandal of Nalgonda district.

Convener of EAMCET 2003, LVAR Sarma said that EAMCET examination was held without any hitches and that 98% of the students who took the applications appeared for the examination. However, it is known that some students used cell phones to communicate with outsiders during the examination in Guntur. Chairman of the Examinations and Vice-Chancellor of JNTU Sri Y Venkatrami Reddy said that there no initial reports of incorrect questions as of now. The key to the examination is expected to be released on 1 May 2003.
