President of Nellore Town Youth Congress Leader Mr. B Bhaskar Reddy and his supporter were killed by his rival TDP Councillor of Anantapur Municipal Corporation Mr. P Krishna and his aides at Gooty Road. DCC Secretary Mr. S Jayachandra Naidu condemned the killing and asked for removal of Mr. Krishna as leader of opposition of Municipal Council.

Two Naxals belonging to the Janashakti group were killed in an encounter between the naxals and the police team at Kamalapur crossroads in Warangal. The killed naxals were earlier asked to stop the vehicle in which they were traveling but they turned fire at the police personnel and tried to fled.
