Vardhaman launches - Cot's Cool - in Andhra Pradesh Market

Secunderabad, September 17, 2002

Vardhman Spinning & General Mills Ltd, a name synonymous with quality, reliability and product innovation has launched for the first time in retail segment its new brand Cot's Cool. Unveiling the 100 per cent Cotton and Polyester Cotton by Mr. Ramesh Sharma, company's Senior Marketing Manager said Cot's Cool is a AZO-free and Eco-friendly fabric in 'than packing" and "ready-to-stitch" packing launched under the name of "Cots Cool". We have booked 11000 metres of fabric today on its launch in the state of Andhra Pradesh, informed Mr. Sharma.

Adding further Mr. Sharma informed that Vardhaman today is the largest spinning conglomerate in the country. Starting in 1965 with just 14000 spindles, the group now has a sales turnover of Rs 2500 crore and world class manufacturing facilities in 18 operational plants. The installed spinning capacity has been half a million spindles. It offers a wide range of products which include Yarn, Sewing Thread, Industrial Threads and Hand Knitting Yarns, he said.

Available in a wide range of shades, weaves and designs, Cot's Cool will be available in over 100 retail outlets throughtout Andhra Pradesh soon. It is distributed in the state through Hyderabad based Vardhaman Agencies.

The range includes 100 per cent Cotton, Cotton Stretch Fabric, Cotton Polynosic, Plain, Twills, Dobby Designs etc. Each fabric is tested in-house for strength, light fastness, pilling, abrasion, colorfastness, crocking, stretch and durable press rating etc. The price range varies from Rs 100 to 250/-. Targeted at people in the age group of 18 to 45 years
