CIDEX's to organise 12 out 13 trade fairs in year 2003 at Hyderabad alone

Hyderabad, September 11, 2002

CIDEX, a 50:50 joint venture partnership company between Messe Dusseldorf GmbH and KolnMesse International GmbH announced its calender of trade fairs to be held at Hyderabad in the year 2003 and 2004. CIDEX will organise most of their trade shows in 2003 & 2004 at HITEX except the Indian Apparel Contract(wich will be held at Mumbai). Twelve out of thirteen shows will be organised at HITEX in Hyderabad in February, September, December 2003. Six out of eight exhibitions in the year 2004 will be organised at Hyderabad alone.

To be held at HITEX, the newly built trade fair grounds, next to Hi-Tec city in Hyderabad, these trade fairs include:
International FoodTec India 2003 (1-4 February, 2003);
HospiMedica India 2003(14-16 February, 2003);
Essen Welding India 2003(21-23 February, 2003);
Tube India International 2003(21-23 February, 2003);
Sheet Metal India 2003(21-23 February, 2003);
Biotec India International 2003(24-27 September, 2003);
Pharma India 2003(24-27 September, 2003);
INTERKAMA India 2003(24-27 September, 2003),
CONSTROMAT India 2003(6-9 December, 2003);
BUILTMAT India 2003(6-9 December, 2003);
FACIMAT India 2003(6-9 December, 2003) and
The CONCRETE Show(6-9, December, 2003).

Disclosing this to the media men at a Press Conference held here at Hyderabad on Tuesday, Mr. Norbert Schmidt, Managing Director of CIDEX Trade Fairs Pvt. Ltd, he opined that the Hyderabad city is a rapidly growing industrial center for electronics, pharmaceuticals, cotton textiles and engineering goods. With Hi-Tec City in Hyderabad, this metroplis is emerging as one of the major commercial hubs of India, he added. Further, he stated that, Hyderabad offers a well-knit infrastructure and is well connected by road, rail and air to major cities of India and has a progressive, grwoth-oriented Government.

CIDEX was set up with the aim of organising exhibitions on themes relevant to the development and expansion of the Indian market. The company endeavours to adopt and develop shows for the varied Indian industrial sectors and make the international markets aware of the Indian quality and innovations. By bringing in a sizeable number of International participants and visitors, the domestic markets can view first hand the changes and upgradations happening globally. Also it is the platform for meaningful dialogue and potential business investments.

Founded in January 2001, CIDEX recorded turnover of Rs 53 million and expected to do Rs 144 million turnover in the year 2002 and 2003.
