Sri Ajith Singh meets CM
Union Minister Sri Ajith Singh met Chief Minister Sri N Chandrababu Naidu. The later explained about the drought situation in the state for which Mr. Singh promised for a prompt action. He said that a decision will be taken soon after taking into considerations from the 3 teams. He said that the team was looking into Kharif crop results, rainfall levels in various districts and said that they are not monitoring but to accessing and analyzing the extent of help that can be provided.

CM releases Count Down Calendar of National Games
Chief Minister Sri N Chandrababu Naidu said that the State Government will soon appoint 1500 Physical Directors at School and College level in the state. He inaugurated Hyderabad School Games at Lal Bahadurshastri Stadium and released the Count Down Calendar of National Games. He said that he will try his best to bring Asian Games and Olympic Games to Andhra Pradesh and wished that Andrites will get good laurels at International levels. He said that starting from this year, Prathiba Puraskarams for achievement in sports.

Security was beefed at the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad to make sure that no communal clashes takes place. Hyderabad Police Commissioner Mr. MV Krishna Rao said that 20,000 police men were being deployed at sensitive areas of the state including at Majids and Temples. An estimated 5000 to 6000 idols will be placed in public.
