State Congress criticizes at Ms. J Jayalalitha's comments The State Youth Congress held a protest and staged 'Rasta Roko' in Hyderabad on the comments made by Ms. J Jayalalitha on AICC President Ms. Sonia Gandhi. The Congress said that Ms. Jayalalitha is getting close to BJP by making comments on Sonia. The Mahila congress that met today under the Chairperson of Mrs. K Geeta Reddy said that Jayalalitha has no right to make comments on its leader. PCC Spokesman Mr. Rosayya and Secretary Mr. Sudhakar Reddy also spoke at the meet. Hyderabad City Congress staged a dharna and burnt photographs and effigy of Ms. Jayalalaitha at the JJ Grape Yard and Guest House located at Ranga Reddy. 3 former Naxals arrested for anti-social activities Additional Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad - Sri A K Khan spoke with the press and said that the Task force has arrested 3 former Naxals for demanding for money from merchants and occupying Government lands in Hyderabad and Secunderabad. He said that the Police will be keeping an eye on various moments of former Naxals. A Career Yojna program was held in Osmania University by the State BC Welfare Cell. He ordered Officers to take necessary steps. Revenue Minister Mr. Yenama Ramakrishnudu and Information and Public Relations Minister Mr. S Chandramohan Reddy said that CLP Leader Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy's comments on the 7 years of rule of the Chandrababu Naidu-led Government are not truth. They said that people knew the effects of the policies of the Government and said that TDP is sure to win in the next elections. They said that the state showed development in various sectors including increase in Literacy rate, decrease in poverty. They said that Government has shown the benefits of taking loans and proper utilization of the funds. Rs. 2250 crores more for Velugu program Minister Mr. B. Gopala Krishna Reddy said that the Government will be extending the Velugu program to over 500 mandals. He said that Rs. 2250 crores will be spent on this. He said that 140 mandals in the districts of Adilabad, Mahaboobnagar, Vijayanagaram and Srikakulam were benefited with the program at a cost of Rs. 585 crores. He reminded that the Velugu program will continue to fight to bring poor people above poverty line. Karnataka Government has decided to withdraw the case put up by Andhra Pradesh to stop Telugu Ganga and other water projects. The Supreme Court bench questioned Karnataka as why they haven't requested the for the setup of a tribunal on the issue. Additional Minister for Railways Mr. AK Murthy visited the East Railway Station in Tirupati. He asked the authorities to transform the Tirupati Railway Station and make it a Model Station. He suggested setup of 100 chairs on each platform since Tirupati is a major tourist source.
