Naxals bids on Mahabubnagar District Police Station Naxals of the People's War Group made a sudden attack on Mahabubnagar District Police Station and blasted its check post. The attack was a pre-planned one and was done at about 8:35 PM. The police replied with 40-50 rounds of reverse attack and saved the Police Station. The Local Guerilla Squad members of Achampet were believed to be behind the attack. Free Power to be in party manifesto - says CLP Leader CLP Leader Dr. Y S Rajasekhar Reddy talking at a meeting in Suryapet said that 'Free Power' will be in party manifesto and that the all Congress members are interested in this and that the same will be discussed in party General Body Meeting. AICC Spokesman Mr. Jaipal Reddy said that the TDP Government has failed at the State and at the Center. The CLP leader later, spoke at a meeting at Nalgonda College Grounds. Students in large numbers took up a rally against the decision of the Andhra University for not giving TC's for PG-admitted candidates even though they paid that entire fees. The students wants to join B.Ed courses and were denied TC due to a recent circular by the University to all University and Affiliated Colleges.
