No hike in Municipal Taxes in the near future
Minister for Municipalities Mr. Mohan Reddy said that Government is giving importance to water supply in cities and that there won't be any increase in Municipal Taxes in the coming future. He said that construction of check dams will be taken up and that they payments to be made to AP TRANSCO, HUDCO, LIC and other boards were already paid. With the good response to E-Seva Centers, the program will be extended to 50 more centers by November with many more being added to the list by January.

Minister inaugurates training program on Exports
Minister Sri Kotagiri Vidhyadhar Rao inaugurated a 4-day training program on Exports in Hyderabad. He said that the exports in Software, Electrical and Engineering products was up with that of Drugs, Pharma and Agri-products was on decline. He said that a team of experts from Germany will be visiting the state during January. The Government of Andhra Pradesh, he said, will be setting up permanent Business Centers in Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Warangal and Chitoor.

Vice Chancellor of Andhra University Prof. YC Simhadri inaugurated a discussion program on "One Year After September 11" being organized by the School of Economics.
