Power cuts as situation demands - directs CM Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu ordered the Power Department to resort to power cuts 'that the situation demands'. This was announced by Power Minister Sri K Subba Raidu and Information Minister Sri S Chandramohan Reddy. The Minister said that the power consumption is far more than that was generated. It was also decided not to sell power to the Eastern Grid. The New Chief Secretary to the State Mrs. Sathi Nair took charge from K Swaminathan.
