6 including a Dalam Commander killed in an encounter
Police sources said that a Dalam Commander and 4 Naxals belonging to the Janashakti Group were killed in an encounter at Gandikamaram forest area which is at the borders of Warangal - Karimnagar. 6 guns, 9 kit bags were recovered from the site. However, a release from Naxals says that the encounter is a fake one.

The State 35th Level Junior Boxing competitions began at Gajuwaka in Visakhapatnam. These competitions were inaugurated by MLA Sri PVGR Naidu (Ganababu).

CLP Leader Dr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy said that Congress will sign on 'Free Power to Farmers' file as and when it comes to power. He spoke at a public meeting in Tirupati and said that people would not be facing these many difficulties if they voted for the Congress in the last assembly elections.
