CM reiterates that Govt. is ready for talks with Naxals
Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu said that the Government is always ready for talks with the People's War Group naxals. He took part in various development programs at Ramagundam. He promised that the Government will come to the rescue of the Fertilizer Corporation of India in Ramgundam.

Andhra Pradesh will have for the first time a Woman IAS officer as the Chief Secretary to the State. Sathi Nair, a senior IAS officer is being appointed Chief Secretary to the Government. She is presently the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration.

The APSRTC Staff and Workers' Union has criticized the decision of the management to effect a fare hike by rounding off 50 paise. Speaking to the press general secretary of the union, Mr. B. Bhadraiah charged the Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu with demoralising the APSRTC employees.

Minister for Primary Education said that candidates who qualified for B.Com. are also eligible for EdCET according to G.O. No. 60 dated July 12.

Naxals of the People's War Group blasted the Police Station of Dharmavaram at 11.30 p.m. This newly constructed station was not yet inaugurated.

CLP Leader Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy said that the Congress will keep its promise of free electricity to farmers whenever it regains power. Addressing a public meeting at Brahmamgari Matham, he said that irrigation projects like Telugu Ganga, Galeru Nagari and Handri Neeva would be completed only when Congress regains its power.

The Last date for submission for First year end examinations for regular students is revised to September 23, 2002 without find and to September 25, 2002 with a fine of Rs. 100/-

Vice Chancellor of Andhra University Prof. Y.C. Simhadri felicitated Sri Kalipatnam Rama Rao and presented Gurajada Award on the occasion of 141st birth anniversary celebrations of Gurajada Appa Rao in Visakhapatnam.
