Food for Work program to continue - decides Cabinet meet The Government said that they are ready to punish any Ministers or Officers who are involved in the misappropriation of the Food for work scheme and that the scheme will continue. The Cabinet took a decision to this effect and decided to utilise the K-Band for various sectors like Telemedicince, E-Governance, Human Resource Management, Agriculture etc. The Cabinet said that an independent agency will be set up to implement the K-Band. The Government sanctioned Rs. 4 Crores for water resources. Speaking to the press, Minister for Information and Public Relations, Mr. S Chandra Mohan Reddy said that the Government has already suspended 100 officers involved in the misappropriation of the Food for Work program. The State Cabinet decided to give 268.70 acres of land in Ramathirdham of Prakasam district for Andhra Pradesh Mineral Development Corporation. Vigilance Dept. begins verification in Stationery scam Sleuths of Vigilance Department are checking the additional stationery which was procured in Lakhs of rupees for the Panchayat Department in Kurnool District.
