CM promises Rs. 100 Crore package for Anantapur Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu has held a review meeting on Rural Development and Watershed management. A Rs. 100 Crore package was announced for Anantapur to come out of the severe drought situation. He asked the officials to look at all alternatives are see that the farmers are not put in loss. He asked experts to look at the possibility of bridging waters from River Ganga and the Cauvery. CLP leader solves farmers problem over phone with CM CLP Leader Dr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy has began a dharna at the Rythu Bazaar in Anantapur where he saw farmers waiting patiently for hour together to get seeds of alternative crops. He immediately called upon the Chief Minister over his Cell phone and brought the problem to the notice of CM. He said that the number of shelters were also few in number and brought the inability of the authorities to provide with facilities. The Chief Minister promised that he will look into the issue and respond immediately. Manoharam adjudged best film of 2000 The Nandi Awards jury released the list of Nandi Awards for the year 2000.
