DSC List to be released on Sep 28 Minister for Primary Education Mr. Madava Venkateswara Rao said that the list for DSC will be release on September 28 and that the counselling sessions will begin from September 29. He said that a detailed schedule will be released at a later date. New norms for Food for Work program The norms of the Food for Work program were being revised. The new GO (GO Rt No 4974 dt Sep 13) now says that the District Collectors have to issue administrative sanction with the prior approval of the Minister-in-charge of the district. This was told to the press by the Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu. Union Minister makes surprise visit to hospital Union Minister Mr. Bandaru Dattatreya made a surprise visit to Railway Hospital in Secunderabad. He enquired about the facilities of the hospital with the patients. The Minister promised for an aid for Rs. 1.5 Crores for the construction of out patient. Two Village-level leaders of Telugu Desam Party at Atmakur in Kurnool were attacked and killed by suspected People's War Group naxals. Hyderabad Police said that they have arrested 5 people in connection with the murder of a women and her daughter.
