BJP's Sashyashyamalam program begins today
State BJP Chialakam Ramachandra Rao and Senior leader Sri Bangaru Lakshman started the Sashyashyamalam program in Sullurpet today. Union Minister of State for Railways Bandaru Dattatreya, Kishan Reddy and others who participated in the program said that Congress has no interest on pending projects and that BJP will check at what level the projects were pending and see that they will be completed.

Union Minister and BJP Member Sri Krishnam Raju started the Sashyashyamalam program in Visakhapatnam. He said asked the Government to bridge River Krishna and Godavari.

Union Minister for State for Home Department Sri Vidya Sagar started the Sashyashyamalam program in Tirupati. BJLP Leader Sri Indrasena Reddy was present at the meet. He asked the State Government to be determined in its work to get results.

Ranga Reddy Congress says Panchayat Act needs modification
Ranga Reddy Congress Party met today to discuss on Panchayat Raj and reminded the Government of Andhra Pradesh that amendment of the Panchayat Act is in evitable. PCC President Sri M Satyanarayana Rao who was present at the meet said that local self governments were loosing their weightage and that Nodal officers appointment has made Surpunch's have lost their weightage.

AU VC holds meeting of Development Council
Vice Chancellor of Andhra University Prof Simhadri spoke at the Development Council Meet held at Dr. BR Ambedkar Hall held today. Speaking at the program, he said that AU used to have good name as a University and that he is trying to get it back. He said that University is a self-working body and that no political involvement is necessary for its functioning.

CLP asks for a minimum 3 day Assembly session before the month-end
Congress Legislature Party demanded for a 3 days Assembly Session during the month to discuss on the drought situation in the state and for discussion on Mid-day meal to see that the program will be implemented from November 1. This was stated by Mr. G Chinna Reddy at a program. He said that CLP was demanding for the meeting since this was the time when the Executive meeting was going.

Andhra Pradesh State Government re-confirmed that it will not take part in food grain procurement program as it was the job of the Center. The Government asked for fair price to the farmers and express unhappiness at the offerings of the millers.
