3 policemen dies of landmine explosion Three Policemen including a Circle Inspector Mr. Y Bramhayya were killed in a landmine explosion being set by the People's War Group at Pidugurallu area of Machavaram in Guntur district. Earlier PWG member looted houses of businessmen in the area and took away Rs. 20 Lakhs worth cash and jewellery. About 150 members of the war were believed to be involved in this incident. AP Transco said that there will not be any power cut in the state tomorrow i.e 15 October 2002. This is believed to be a gift to the people of Andhra Pradesh in view of Dusherra festival. SSC Examination Application Dates The State Government announced dates for submission of application forms for the SSC 2003 examinations. The last date for submission of applications with no fine is November 8. A Fine of Rs. 10/- will be levied till November 15, Rs. 40 up to November 22, Rs. 100 up to November 29, Rs. 150 up to December 7, Rs. 200 up to December 13. The Examination fee for Regular Students who write all papers will be Rs. 100 and RS. 90 for less than 3 subjects and Rs. 100 for 3 or more subjects. Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu asked all District Collectors to form a Agriculture Contingency Plan in view of rains in all the districts of the state. He asked them to see that the farmers are benefited at the best with the plans. Record donations to Lord Balaji Over Rs. 89.15 Lakhs were denoted to Lord Balaji at the temple of Venkateswara in Tirumala on the 7th day of Brahmostavams. Rs. 59.42 Lakhs was from the Sri Vari Hundi, Rs. 16.65 Lakhs from Tickets, Rs. 13.07 from Prasadams.
