Congress delegation submits letter to Governor
CLP Leader Dr. Y S Rajasekhar Reddy met Governor Dr. C Rangarajan and submitted a letter asking for the conduction of Assembly Session under the Article 174 in view of the severe drought situation in the state. Among those who were with Dr. YSR are P Shankar Rao, D Nagendra, P Sabita Reddy, A Vittal Reddy, P Govardhan Reddy, J Krishna Rao and others.

The Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) said that it is planning for a awareness campaign starting this October 31. The Commission was recently reconstituted and Mr. Shankar took over as Chief Vigilance Commissioner of India and Mr. HJ Dora as the Commissioner.

Governor Dr. C Rangarajan and Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu greeted the people of the State on occasion of Dasara.

Two persons died when crackers for the Diwali went off accidentally in Rajahmundry.

The State Government said that it will be promoting Basic and Social Sciences and Technology through State Level Research Board.
