CM inaugurates Yanam - Yeduruland Bridge - takes part in various development programs
Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated Yanam - Yeduruland Bridge that connects Amalapuram with Kakinada. He unveiled the idol of former Lok Sabha speaker Sri GMC Balayogi and inaugurated the Ambedkar Bhawan. He also dedicated the Changalnadu project to the nation. Speaking at the program, he said that the Central Government has hiked the cost of rice to come to the rescue of the farmers of the state.

Ministers says action will be taken on those who involved in stationery scams
Minister Sri JR Pushparaj said that the Government will take departmental action on those involved in the recently unearthed Rs. 21.7 crores scholarship scam and that their properties will be recovered. He said that Special Courts will be setup to deal with these types of cases to come to a logical conclusion at the earliest. He said that Mr. PV Ramakrishana was served the CBI was appointed as legal advisor and that the case was handed over to him.

CM holds meeting on status of power in the state
Chief Minister Sri N Chandrababu Naidu organized a meeting with officials of the Department of Power to access the power requirements of the state and the steps to be taken to see the power cuts do not come often. The officials pointed out the lapses of power transmissions from the grids.

Minister Sri Ram Naik visits Hyderabad
Union Minister for Power Mr. Ram Naik visited Hyderabad today. He said that the fuel and oil production and levels in the county are fair and that the recent hike in barrel cost of oil has led for increasing the cost of petrol and diesel by 0.25 a litre. He said that Ethanol which was a bye-product of Molasses can be added to petrol to bring down costs of the fuel. About 170 petrol bunks in the districts of East and West Godavari, Khammam and Krishna will be selling this type of fuel. Union Minister, how ever, had a bad take from his visit with staging a dharna at the Guest house where the Minister halted.

CLP Leader Dr. Y S Rajasekhar Reddy commented that none of the promises being given by the Chief Minister were fulfilled. He reiterated that the Congress is determined to give power at any time. He took part in Chaitanya Yatra program at Narayanpet in Mahabubnagar.

3 Congress MLA’s and supporters who were staging a dharna at the AP Transco office in Karimnagar were arrested by the police. Police restored to lathi charge when they the supporters tried to enter into the SE Office.

An Armed Reserve Constable Mr. PR Prasad tried to shoot himself with his service revolver at the Head Post Office in Nellore. He was admitted to the hospital and is now out of danger. Personal problems were beloved to be the reasons for his idea behind committing suicide.

Naxals and a Police Team exchanged fire in Kondapur Village of Medak in the early hours of the day. There were no casualties. Naxals fled away leaving 12 kit bags, a claymore mine and some detonators.
