District Collector's meet begins
The Chief Minister held the 2 day meet with the district collectors at Jubilee Hall in Hyderabad. He said that Government intervention should be reduced and private investments should be increased. He felt that the Government's role in ruling is decreasing all over the world and this should be implemented in India too. He said that Law & Order, Eradication of Poverty, Employment, Environment Protection etc. were the top priorities of the Government.

Mrs. Lakshmi Padmavathi says she will resign
Parchur MLA and Former Minister of Income Tax Department Mrs. J Lakshmi Padmavathi has written a letter to the Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu stating that she want to resign from politics. She stated the current politics and her ill health as the reasons for her sudden decision.

The High court division bench has cancelled the Government Order of removing the reservations of S.C, S.T, B.C in the employment of vacant teacher posts in Private Aided Educational Institutions. The division bench felt that the G.O. is against the Constitution.

A Goods train has derailed between the Sivalingapuram and Boddavara stations in the morning causing the Kirandole passenger run late by 3 hours.

The Sarpanch of Silajinagar M Satyanarayana has been arrested by the police while supplying Denotars and Gelatins to the Jana Sakthi Naxalites. The police filed a case and sent Satyanarayana to remand.

Sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested 2 employees of Nalgonda Municipal Corporation while taking bribe from a person.

The Vijayawada Police Commissioner has announced that the District Police has arrested an inter-state gang involved in theft of several cars.

The 30th Senior Volleyball Championships started today in Warangal. Minister K Srihari inaugurated the Championship in which 800 sportsmen will participate.

Ranji Trophy Cricket match will begin tomorrow in Hyderabad.
