Bundh called by PWG strictly observed in Guntur
Bundh in Guntur called by People's War Group ended up with damages to Government assets. PWG blasted Government offices including a culvert at Uppalapadu, Ponduru Railway Station near Dachepalle, a blasted RTC bus and another bus which was severely damaged. APSRTC lost a business worth Rs. 10 Lakhs due to this diverted busses. District SP Ravishankar Ayyannar Special Police were deployed and that combing operations will be continued. It may be recalled that PWG was targeting on Government assets and this month alone reported a loss of Rs. 3 Crores.

The AP Khadi Grammena Industry Board announced that it will be setting up 137 Small-scale industries to provide more employment opportunities. The new industries however costs the Government-subsidiary Rs. 5 crores as investment. The Board has got order from Thailand for production of hats.

Governor Dr. C Rangarajan inaugurated the program National Integration Fund for Children of people who lost lives in communal clashes. He said that National foundation for Communal Harmony has helped to shape the fund. Members of the fund later met the Chief Minister who also contributed for the fund.

State BJP President Mr. Chilakam Ramachra Rao asked BJP supporters in Chittoor District to complete the party membership campaign by 1 December.

The 27th National Junior Badminton competitions began at NTR Stadium in Guntur.

Additional Police Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, AK Khan said that Intelligence was alerted and additional police forces were deployed in view of President's visit to Hyderabad and upcoming Ramjan festival season which could raise communal clashes in the area.

PCC expressed grief at the increasing crub of Government lands in Hyderabad. Minister Srinuvasa Yadav has began building apartments in the lands - the party felt.

Waragal District Police conducted a Peace Rally asking Naxals to stop killing people and join in public.

The Executive council of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam decided to take up a Water project at a cost of Rs. 60 crores. The project is expected to be completed in 1 year team. The council has also decided to increase security at the Srivari Temple at Tirumala in view of terrorist attacks on Hindu Temples. The board also drew out plans for the smooth and grand condition of Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Bramhotsavams.

Guntur Police arrested the cashier of Guntur Catholic Bank Mr. Vargis who used duplicate keys to loot Rs. 94 Lakhs worth ornaments and Rs. 6.4 Lakhs in cash from the bank. The police were able to solve the mystery of the case in just 10 days after suspecting that the staff of the bank alone had the chance to do so since there were no traces of an outsider.

Government announces transfers to IAS Officers
Government of Andhra Pradesh has announced transfer of IAS Officers in the state. Mr. C Arjuna Rao was appointed as the new Chief Commissioner of Land Administration, Mr. Ajay Kallam as the new Executive Officer of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam. Mr. P Krishnayya who was the earlier EO was now the Director of Fisheries Department. Mr. IYR Krishna Rao was moved as Secretary of Finance Ministry.

Mini India Project in Hyderabad
The State Government is planning to boost the popularity of Hyderabad with yet another new project named Mini India. The project will be setup in at a 125 acre land area to develop. Lands will be given to various states to promote their products in at the center. Reliance Corporation is expected to boost Tourism and Petrol in the area. 80% of work in the project is expected to be completed by June 2003. The Government is also going to organize promotional meets in various centers of the Country and in foreign countries.

Minister for Health Sri Kodela Sivaprasada Rao said that 14 more new seats were allocated to Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), Hyderabad in Super Specialty course.
