Minister inaugurates Quatar flight
Tourism Minister Mr. T Srinvas Yadav inaugurated the flight service from Quatar to Hyderabad today. Speaking on the occassion, he said that the Government will develop the tourism in the state. The Quatar Airways team will meet the Chief Minister later today. The Quatar flight serves passengers thrice a week.

The discussions in the Assembly halted for 30 minutes today when arguments between TDP and Congress on the time at which the assembly should be closed were at its peak. The Congress alleged that the TDP's decision to stop discussions at 1.30 p.m. is only to avoid discussion on Kakinada Port. Minister Mr. Y Ramakrishnudu said that the closing time is already decided on the first day.

The Government ordered investigation on the bomb blast at Dilsukhnagar in Hyderabad. Police announces Red Alert in 9 Municipalities of Hyderabad and high security is arranged in all religious spots.

Minister Mr. Talasani Srinivas Yadav said that Government is taking steps to keep the Nizam Jewellary permanantly in hyderabad, responding to a question asked by a Congress MLA in the Assembly.

Indian President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam took part in the Puttaparthi Sri Satya Sai Baba Deemed University Convocation program held at Anantapur. Earlier Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu welcomed the President at the Airfield.

The Government said that it will be making a list of empty Government lands and will be distributed it to the needy.

Sports Minister said that Youth hostels will be setup in all districts specially for sports persons. He said that such hostels were already setup in 16 districts.

Congress Party, today at the Assembly, questioned the Government as to why it is not ready for a discussion on Kakinada port issue in which over Rs. 400 crores were believed to misappropriated.

Home Minister said that Government will not go back and will even use POTA if necessary on any anti-social elements that create havoc and panic among the people. Discussions on Sri Sai Baba Temple bomb blast that happened yesterday. BJLP Leader Mr. Indrasena Reddy asked about what Government is doing to keep ISI, Jehand and other terrorist groups on hold.

Meanwhile, Police began investigation in full swing and were successful in getting clues. They have received the identity of the owner of the scooter. Urdu books and related literature were found in the scooter which led to an angle of ISI involvement. Police increased Vehicle checks in the city. Meanwhile, Visawa Hindu Parishad observed bundh in the region against the attacks. Today being Friday, Police in large numbers were deployed in the old city area.

Vijayawada Police Commissioner inaugurated a Hepatitis B vaccine program at the Child Line 2nd anniversary function.

Indian Hockey Federation has agreed to take part in the National Games. Earlier the Federation said that they won't participate in the games following lack of proper facilities.

The West Indies and Indian teams reached Vijayawada this afternoon. It may be recalled that Vijaywada is the host for the final ODI in the series between the two countries.

CI Surendrababu said that it is unethical to sell tickets in black. He said that it is the fault of both buyer and the seller.

A Seminar is organised on the World Trade Organisation by the Indo-American Chambers of Commerce in Hyderabad.

Andhra University will remain closed from Saturday. The Administrative Department of Andhra University has decided not to conduct any classes in Andhra University and its affiliated colleges. Speaking to the press, the Principal's of the four colleges of Andhra University Prof. D Panduranga Rao, Prof. Swamiyajulu, Prof. Ganapathi Rao, Prof. SV Krishna said that the University will remain closed until further notification.

Exams Postponed
According to AU Controller of Examinations Mr. G.V. Ramana Murthy, all Exams of Andhra University that are to held on November 25th and later are postponed. The commencement of these exams will be notified at a later date.
