American Finance Minister visits Andhra Pradesh American Finance Minister visited Andhra Pradesh and congratulated on the efforts of the Government in regard to Women-welfare programs. He said that IMF funds will help develop the women community in the state. The Minister and his team, Indian Ambassador and Minister Bojjala Gopalakrishna Reddy visited Shamshabad in Ranga reddy where various women welfare programs were being undertaken. The team interacted with women and discussed about their programs. A special exhibition with products made by women groups was put on display. The Team later visited e-Seva Center in Hyderabad where the American Finance Minister and Indian Ambassador got a driving licenses on their names instantly. They also visited the HiTech City in Hyderabad where L&T gave a demonstration on their works. The team interacted with children who were infected with AIDS at the Bolarum Freedom Foundation. Congress asks on AIDS at Assembly Congress, at the Assembly session today, asked for the formation of a committee to administer on AIDS in the state. It is known that Andhra Pradesh stood at the 2nd in the country in terms of AIDS-effected patients. BJP and other parties have commented on banners set up in the premises of Assembly. Congress asked the Government to make AIDS Test compulsory during marriages and questioned as to why condoms usage has not increased among the people.
