AP Statehood day observed
Andhra Pradesh celebrated its Statehood Day today. Chief Minister Sri N Chandrababu Naidu took part in the celebrations in Hyderabad. He presented medals for the outstanding Police, Forest personnel and Educationalists. He said that the state has excelled itself in IT, Power and Educational sectors. He said that state was hit by drought situation and that the Government has come forward to the farmer community and that it is considering rescheduling of loans and waiving of loan interests.

TRS observes Black Day
Telangana Rastra Samithi observed today as Black Day which reminds of the injustice made to Telangana during the state hood of the state. It rallied in Hyderabad.

Smart Governance era begins
Chief Minister Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated Smart Governance facility in Andhra Pradesh. The first file to be approved under the Smart Governance system is that of R & B related to construction work of Road over bridge in Garividi in Vizianagaram. 14 Government Departments will now working with computer files. Approval of files will now be with mouse clicks. 18 more Departments will go online by December 18, 2002. Targets are set to provide E-Seva facility to 117 municipalities in the state.

PWG creates havoc in Guntur
Extremists from the People's War Group attacked Morjampadu mandal in Guntur and took away Rs. 70 Lakhs by attacking on shops and residential areas with guns and knives. The took away items such as Fertilizer packets, Television sets, Fritzes, Gold ornaments, fancy items and almost every item then came to their eye. They left behind some tiffin box bombs and defused bullets. PWG Local Guerrilla Squad members attacked Macharla mandal and took away 197 quintals of rice bags when were brought for distribution under the Food-For-Work program.

Shaik Salam - a jail inmate who was admitted to Guntur Hospital escaped form the Prisons Ward of the hospital.

50 students at the ST Hospital in Galra in Khammam district fell ill when they drank polluted water. They were admitted at the Local Civil Hospital.

Rivalry between two groups claimed the lives of two when each of the groups attached in Cuddapah.
