EAMCET 2002 results to be released with Ranks and Marks this year
The EAMCET 2002 Committee met in Hyderabad to look into the pleas from the public in regard to EAMCET 2002 examinations. The committee decided that the ranks along with the marks will be published in the website and that ranks will be given based on few parameters - for example, if two students gets 195 marks, then the person with the highest marks in Mathematics will be declared first. Incase of a tie again, marks in Physics will be taken into account followed by marks in Chemistry and finally the Date of Birth of the candidate in case tie persists. The person who is more elder will be the first in case of ties in the first three cases.
CEEP 2002 results announced
Meanwhile, the examination results of CEEP 2002 were released by Technical Education Minister Mr. Damodar Reddy. As many as 85% of the students who appeared for the examinations qualified. CEEP Examination is conducted for admissions into the 104-odd polytechnics in the state in which 17,150 seats in various branches are available. Of the 68498 students who appeared for the exams, 58547 qualified in which 84.68% boys qualified and 88.17% girls qualified. Mr. Charan Raj stood as the state first in this years CEEP exam.
Wife of Former Lok Sabha Speaker - Ms. G Vijaya Kumari files nominations
Wife of Former Lok Sabha Speaker, Sri GMC Balayogi - Ms. G Vijaya Kumari filed nomination for the Lok Sabha as a Telugu Desam Candidate from the Amalapuram Lok Sabha Constituency. She filed the nomination at 11:15 AM at the Municipal Office. Meanwhile, Congress Spokesman Sri Jaipal Reddy said in Delhi that TDP has asked Congress Leader Ms. Sonia Gandhi not to put a candidate for the Amalapuram Lok Sabha seat and thus Congress is not putting a candidate as a respect to the departed Lok Sabha Leader.
Adarana scheme to be revived - says CM
Chief Minister Sri N Chandrababu Naidu said that the Government will revive the Adarana scheme to consider skilled workers in caste-based occupations. He inaugurated the Stage IIof the Sriramsagar Project.
The Government said that it will provide a safe-passage for Naxals groups leaders. It was made clear that no official of the Government will be leaving for forest for talks with naxals.
