CM gives more freedom for Government Departments

Chief Minister Sri N Chandrababu Naidu directed his Ministers and Officers to switch to a policy in which non-performing people will be penalized and incentives to those who perform at their best. All Departments were now given freedom to select 'right man in the right post'. He released the figures of the Revenue-earning districts in which Warangal topped with 104%, Karimnagar with 100% and Rangareddy with 98.53%. Nalgonda, Srikakulam and Khammam stood at the bottom with only 84% collections. He said that the total revenue collection for last year was Rs. 11,721.32 Crores as against the targeted Rs. 12,637.92 Crores.

Two labour workers died in an accident at Gachhibowli National Stadium in Hyderabad. Meanwhile Sports Minister Mr. Ramulu said that the State Government has decided to name the Gachhibowli National Stadium on the name of former Lok Sabha Speaker Sri Balayogi.
Congress staged a rally with huge 'pots' in Hyderabad asking for Krishna river waters in the state. They later submitted a memorandum to Governor Dr. C Rangarajan. P Janardhan Reddy, former CLP Leader, B Saraiah, MLA and M Kodanda Reddy, former CLP Secretary participated in the program.
Over 10 Lakhs worth property was destroyed in a fire accident in Khammam.
Finance Minister Mr. Yenamala Ramakrishnudu wrote a letter to Dr. YS Rajasekhar Reddy explaining about the State Government deal in regard to Nizam Sugar Factory.
Naxals of the Peoples War Group killed Mr. R Kishan Reddy and blasted a house at Dharmasagar mandal of Warangal. Mr. Kishan Reddy happens to be the brother of TDP Mandal Unit President Mr. Raji Reddy.
A Security Guard of the Visakhapatnam Export Processing Zone (VEPZ) was arrested for snatching Rs. 45,000 in cash and a cellphone from a computer sales and service shop owner.
Over 100 persons were found to fell into illness when they consumed the Prasadam being provided by a local temple at Durgasamudram village in Tirupati. Most of them were rushed to Government SVRR Hospital.
