TDP Warangal Mahanadu ends
The Last day sessions of the TDP Waragal Mahanadu programme began today. Speaking on the occasion Chief Minister and TDP president Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu said that there is no third major party in the state. TDP leaders opposed the policies adopted by Congress. Warangal Declarations have been finalized and various topics on Central and State relations, International issues, Political reforms etc. were discussed. Donations have been collected from the members for Party's welfare fund.
The Warangal Declaration
The Warangal Declaration of the Telugu Desam Party was released by its Party President Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu. The Declaration has four points and is an extension of the Visakhapatnam Declaration. Speaking at the meet, Mr. Naidu said that all irrigation projects should be completed in a time bound manner and that Neeru Meeru and Family Planning and Education should be promoted. He also inaugurated the Party Poster and a book. As a TDP's reply to the Tenalanga issue, Mr. Naidu said that TDP will work for the unity of Andhra and that smaller states only create new problems instead of solving any. A Survey at the Mahanadu 81.65 percent workers said that Mr. Naidu was working as a performance CM while 12 percent say his performance is bad. An award was presented to Mrs. Renuka - Chairperson of Tanuku Municipal for achieving total literacy in the town.
Bus Pass fare hiked
After Power and House Tax hike, its time for yet another hike for people in Andhra Pradesh - Starting June 1, the price of the Bus Passes issued by the AP State Transport Corporation will be high as much as 30 percent. A Student General Pass which costs Rs.65 till now will be Rs. 85. A General Bus Ticket which is Rs. 280 for City routes will now be Rs.310 and Rs. 335 for suburban routes. This Hyderabad City APSRTC Regional Manager Mr. Ch Rameswar Rao said that the hike is for all bus passes issued by the APSRTC in the state.
Union Minister Mr. Venkiah Naidu said that if Pakistan should resist cross border terrorism, stop funding and training terrorism if they really want to support Peace. He spoke to the press in a press meet at Tirupati.
