State BJP Officer-bearers meeting held

The State BJP Officer-bearers meeting was held at Hyderabad. BJP President Sri Jana Krishnamoorthy, Union Ministers Sri Ch Vidyasagar Rao, Sri. M Venkiah Naidu, former President Sri Bangaru Laxman and others took part in the meet.

Large ammunition unearthed in Anakapalle

Anakapalle Rural Police has unearthed huge quantity of unauthorized stored explosives and arrested two persons. As many as 149 gelatin sticks, 4499 detonators in 44 boxes, 18 bundles of fuse wire, 1 tonne of Ammonium Nitrate and were recovered from three different locations.

Intermediate board opens 10 special counters

Board of Intermediate opened 10 special counters in addition to the existing six at its Hyderabad office for meeting the needs of the students who come for photocopies of answer scipts and revaluation. The last date for the payment of fees for Advanced supplementary exams was extended to May 25 and May 30 for the Second and First Years respectively.

2-day Mini Mahanadu held

The Two-day Mini Mahanadu held at Visakhapatnam ended with a call to their party president Sri N Chandrababu Naidu asking for the Polavaram river waters to the North Andhra. A total of 12-resolution points were introduced by Anakapalle MLA Sri Dadi Veerabhadra Rao. Top city leaders, Ministers and city activists participated at the meet.

Congress Party observed the 'Sadbhavana Diwas' as a mark of the death anniversary of former Prime Minister and renowned Congress Leader Sri Rajiv Gandhi. PCC President Sri M Satyanarayana Rao hoisted the Sadbhavana flag in Hyderabad.
Andhra Pradesh will be getting 5 lakh tones of rice being sent by the Government of India under the Sampoorna Gram Rozgar Yojana to meet the drought effected areas in the state. This was announced by Union Minister for Rural Development Sri M Venkiah Naidu.
Hyderabad City Police arrested a hired assassins gang with heavy amour. The gang involved three hired assassins and seven of their abettors.
The Committee of Concerned Citizens headed by Mr. SR Sankaran asked the People's War Group to respond to the Government's offer.
