Bharathi elected unanimously for Devarakonda Assembly constituency

Congress candidate Mrs Deeraat Bharathi was elected unanimously as MLA for the Devarakonda constituency of Nalgonda. APCC President Sri M Satyanarayana Rao thanked the other parties for making the election unanimous.

Mini Mahanadu of TDP begins

The Mini Mahanadu of the Telugu Desam Party began at Visakhapatnam. Visakha District In-Charge Minister Mr. BV Mohan Reddy presided at the meet. Ms. Pinninti Varalakshmi, Manikumari, Ayyannapatrudu, Chokkapu Suryanarayana, Ravula Chendrasekahra Rao, Ganta Srinuvasa Rao and other took part in the meeting.

Over 200 houses were guttered in a fire accident at Modukur Village in Guntur district. Fire services from Tenali, Guntur and Ponnur immediately attended to the fire tough the gales made the fire fighting job difficult.
Chief Minister Sri N Chandrababu Naidu held a meeting with officials to discuss on the recent recommendations made at the State-level workshop on MCR HRD Institute. Former Mayor of Hyderabad Mr. Juliffer Ali was arrested for alleged involvement in Charminar Bank case.
Government of Andhra Pradesh announced the promotion of 30 DSP's in the state and promotions and transfers to Deputy Collectors.
Deputy Commander of People's War Group Mr. Burudi Madhav (20) surrendered before the DSP of Visakhapatnam District Mr. Atul Sing. Mr. Madhav is involved in many cases and was an active member of the Guerilla Squad of East Godavari.
